We work together with our patients to come up with an individualized plan, after completing an in-depth initial evaluation. The psychiatric plan may involve medication management, psychotherapy, or both. We believe in tailoring the treatment plan to each person as there is no "one size fits all" approach to treating psychic pain and anguish. We use our knowledge in psychiatry to evaluate all aspects of one's life when coming up with a treatment plan.

We know it can be hard to wait once you have made the decision to seek help. We aim to see all new patients within 5 business days. In-person and telehealth appoints are available.
ASSESSMENT : The process begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your mental health condition. We assesses symptoms, medical history, and any previous treatment experiences to determine the most appropriate medication and/ or psychotherapy options. If it is determined that you would benefit from medication and are comfortable doing so, then we will continue to select a medication that is right for you. In some cases, patients may not be a good candidate for medication or may prefer to try psychotherapy alone first. We have a limited number of psychotherapy only spots in our practice and can also refer you to outside clinicians.
MEDICATION SELECTION: If you are a candidate for medication based treatment, we will select a medication or combination of medications that are likely to be effective in treating the specific mental health condition based on our assessment. Factors considered include the individual's psychiatric diagnosis, symptom severity, potential side effects, interactions with other medications, and personal preferences.
MONITORING: Regular monitoring is essential to evaluate the effectiveness of the medication and ensure its safety. We will schedule follow-up appointments to assess your response to the medication, monitor any side effects, and make adjustments if necessary.
DOSE ADJUSTMENT: Depending on your response and symptom improvement, we may adjust the dosage or switch to a different medication. Fine-tuning the medication regimen is common to achieve the best possible outcome while minimizing side effects.
It's important to note that medication management in psychiatry is often combined with other treatment modalities, such as psychotherapy or lifestyle changes, to provide comprehensive care. The goal is to optimize your mental health and improve your overall well-being.
